Non-Prescription Reading Glasses

Years ago when I lived in Puerto Rico, my neighbor, a young woman came by my house and found me reading a book while wearing a dollar store pair of reading glasses.  She immediately snatched them from my face saying, “No! These will make you go blind!  Your eyes will become dependent on them.”
I listened then, and took them off.  However, I picked them up again after I returned to the US and started spending more time typing online.  This was a big mistake! My eyes have become overly dependent on them, and I cannot seem to read even large print without them, but I must somehow stop using them before I go completely blind.  This is hard, because now I can’t read a letter or a menu without them.  I know that putting them completely down is my best hope of regaining my eyesight.
… A word to the wise.

Spring has sprung, and the weather is turning nice where I live.  This is the perfect time to get yourself together and work on your health.  Regardless of whether you have a serious illness to overcome, or if you just want to shed a few pounds, I encourage you to do it the healthy, all-natural way.

It’s no secret that in order to get better you need to take these steps:

  1. Drink more water
  2. Eat foods that promote health, not damage it
  3. Get enough rest
  4. Move your body
  5. Get lots of outdoor air
  6. Get plenty of sunshine
  7. Increase your bowel movements
  8. Learn how to listen to and trust yourself

These steps may sound simple, but they are not easy to do in our modern, fast-paced lives.  That’s why I invite you to join me and others in taking my 6-week “Get Healthy Naturally” online course.  It explains everything you need to know to jumpstart healing and weight-loss.  Learn what to eat and what not to eat; how much water to drink and when; how to move your body for best results; how to keep your bowels moving, and more.  I give you options that help you make these changes fit your lifestyle.

The cost is $49 for six weeks, and you can receive my personal attention.  Read more about it at

I’ll see you there!

I heard a story once that really stuck with me.  It was about a man who died.  He had been a strict vegetarian for the last 40 years of his life.  When an autopsy was performed on his remains, they found fragments of old meat still inside his colon.
I mention this story to tell you that food can hide in the pockets of your intestines for a very long time.  In fact, it may never come out.  When food hangs around too long in our colon, first it rots, poisoning us from the inside out.  If that were bad enough, it then becomes hard, blocking the natural movement (peristalsis), which is needed to make us have regular bowel movements.  Food that has been in your colon for a long time petrifies and can become as hard as the soles of your shoes, imagine that!  It is said that constipation is the beginning of all illness.
If you are over age 21, you need to clean your colon now, and keep it clean.  In fact, you should to do a colon cleanse at the change of every season.  Yes, you read it right, 4 times a year!  Besides keeping you well, this gives you an incredible youthful feeling and appearance.  The benefits are enormous!
There are many cleanses available, and I do not profit from telling you about any particular one.  Go to your local health food store and ask them about a good colon cleanser.  I like the ones that contain psyllium husk and bentonite clay, but it is not manditory.  The first colon cleanse I ever took was a great one called Dr. Richard Schultz’s Intestinal Formula One and Two, which can be found at 1-800-HerbDoc.
It matters not which kind you use, so long as it cleans you out.  It is important that you drink lots of water during a cleanse, and take probiotics afterwards to put back the good stomach bacteria you just cleaned out.
Don’t be afraid to try this.  You will love yourself for doing so.  This comes with my strongest recommendation!
Wishing you the best of health,
You know me from having MS, but what you didn’t know is that I also struggle with low blood platelets.  Racially, I am a mutt … a mixture of Black, White, Native American and East Indian.  It is my East Indian blood that gives me problems.  Several of my family members suffer similarly.
Because of this, I must keep constant count of my blood platelets.  A normal platelet count is between 150,000 and 450,000.  I am always getting blood taken, hear the results, then take matters into my own hands.  Two weeks ago, my platelet count was so low (31,000) that doctors said if if dropped further, I would need to have my spleen removed.  Ouch!  I don’t exactly know what a spleen does, but I do know that we were not born with any spare parts.  Just because we don’t understand what a part does, doesn’t mean that we don’t need it.
I had read that one of the things water does is increase blood platelets.  So, for the past two weeks, I fasted on liquids only.  I ate no solid food, just drank water and juices.  When I got hungry, I ate liquid soup.
When I got my blood counted two weeks later it had risen to an amazing 161,000.  I was in the normal range for the first time in years!  Needless to say, everyone was amazed, and I had saved my spleen!
I don’t know if this result was from an increase in drinking water or a decrease in eating solid foods.  I have heard natural healers say that when you are sick, (especially if you don’t know why), to stop eating completely.  I realize that not eating solid food is temporary and not sustainable long term, so I will need to find a way that best works for me.  I don’t know if I will liquid fast every other day, fast during the week and only eat solids on weekends, or what.  But I do know that I will figure this out.
This is a prime example of the term “Physician Heal Thyself.”  You must take your health into your own hands, do your own research, experiment where you can, say NO to unnatural sounding practices, and always DRINK MORE WATER!!!

If your mind is open, and you don’t fear knowledge of any kind, then I have some wonderful news for you! I recently had a conversation with a friend who studies numerology.   She shared a very interesting fact with me.   She told me that events run in cycles beginning with the number 1, and ending with the number 9, which represents completion.

Then, she asked me to add up the numbers for the outgoing year of 2016. Ok, so I clumsily did. 2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 9. Then, she told me to add the numbers for the incoming year of 2017.  Ok, 2 + 0 + 1 + 7 = 10. Now, she said, add 1 + 0 which reduces it to 1.

I’m somewhat slow, and I still didn’t see it until she pointed out that this outgoing year 2016 is a #9 year, which means termination; the end of an old cycle. This upcoming new year, 2017, is a #1, which stands for the beginning of a new cycle. A new life!

Wow! If she is right, then this is big news! This is great! This means we can start over and reinvent our lives. We can change our love live, our financial status, even our health situation! We don’t have to continue to feel bad for the next 10 years. This is our chance to start over fresh!

For those of you who want to start over with a healthy new beginning, I have outlined how to do so in an 8-week online e-course. It tells you everything you need to know in order to get yourself healthy, one week at a time. The cost for the entire course is $49. Click here if you want to learn more about it.

Meanwhile … I wish you a

Healthy New Year!

A year ago I set out to create an online E-course that would accomplish several goals:

    1.  To teach you how to get healthy enough for your body to heal itself.
    2.  To make it simple enough for you to easily accomplish.
    3.  To make it affordable.

Well, after a year, I believe I have finally succeeded. The cost is only $49 for the entire eight weeks. These are the same instructions I give in my personal consultations.

Click the E-Course tab above for more information on how to get started getting healthy right now.

P.S.  Remember to check your junk or spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox after ordering.

Have you noticed how incredibly hard and less juicy our produce has gotten? I realize that most of it no longer comes from local farms, but is shipped from countries half way ‘round the world. It is picked before it ripens, then often undergoes outrageous technological processes before we eat it. These processes are not for the benefit of our bodies, but only to ensure that the food looks good enough for sale to us. This system (along with the other packaged and highly processed foods we eat), can and does have severe consequences to our health.

For example, while working to improve the health of others, I’ve noticed an increase in a new illness called “Morgellon’s disease.” Doctors find it hard to pinpoint, and it is often misdiagnosed. It appears as a bumpy red rash or boils on the skin. Sufferers complain of itching and feeling like bugs are crawling under their skin. However, the oddest thing is that fine little wires or hairs grow out of each bump. I understand that scientist cannot yet figure out what these hairy wires are. They can’t determine if they are animal, plant, mineral or other. I’m no doctor or scientist, but I believe this type of inorganic illness is a by-product of the foods we eat today. The great majority of food available for our purchase has been genetically modified. This means that (for example) genes from a spider or other creature may be combined with your apple or tomato.

Again, I stress the need for us to eat organic, and I am well aware of the exorbitantly high prices and greed in the industry. However, please remember that you can either pay a high price now, or you can pay an even higher price later. That later higher price includes not only money for doctor bills, but for sickness, suffering, and maybe even death.

I don’t want to alarm you, just give you some food for thought.

MS = Mixed Signals?

MS (Multiple Sclerosis), being a disease of the nervous system, might also be called by several other names.  I like to play with it this way:

MS = Mixed Signals.

MS = Missed Signals.

MS = Misaligned Spine.

Since learning more about my spinal cord, and how the nerves run through it reaching every part of my body, I have a whole new respect for chiropractic education.   Sure, I used it a couple times before, a long time ago, but I wasn’t educated enough about it to keep it up.  I now wish I had.

Are you up for a brief, over-simplified refresher course?  In order for the body to function properly, the brain must talk to every part of the body, telling it what to do every second of every minute of every day.  The brain must communicate with every bone, muscle, nerve, organ … you get the picture.  The brain tells the arms when to close in for that hug; it tells your fingers when to close around and hold a cup; when to open and drop it; it tells the toes when to feel hot or cold; it tells your legs and feet to walk and run; it tells your lungs how to breathe; it even tells your heart when to slow down or speed up its beats.

The brain sits on top of, and is connected to the spine, which houses your spinal cords that are threaded through it.  These cords are like highways where messages travel from the brain to all other points of the body.   It stands to reason that this highway, (nervous system), must always be kept open, free-flowing and never blocked in order for your body to receive the proper messages to do what it needs to do.

When your spine is out of alignment, the bones of the spinal cord can pinch, cut off, weaken or damage the messages/nerve-flow, causing all kind of havoc to occur in the body.  When spinal cord bones pinch the nerves/highways/flow/passages, it can cause blockages, mixed signals and even messages that can’t get through at all, blocking the natural nerve flow.

Several things can cause your spine to get out of shape and block this nerve flow.  Some of them may have started at birth, like when the doctor pulled and twisted to get you out of your mother’s wound.  Some may have resulted when you fell out of that tree as a kid.  It could have happened when you were in that car wreck a long time ago.  Maybe you hunch over a computer or cell phone too long.  Perhaps your bag, briefcase or backpack is too heavy.   Are you under daily stress?  Could it be you just have poor posture?

Whatever the reason, blocked, missed, or mixed signals can cause you pain, tremors, stiffness, immobility, weakness and who knows what else.  Do these symptoms sound familiar?  Ask a Chiropractor to educate you so that you know if your messages are getting through or not.

‘Best of health to you … Naturally,

Here are answers to some of the questions I most frequently get asked.

  1. How long did it take you to recover? This is a hard question for me to answer, because 1) I wasn’t keeping track at the time, and 2) Since we are all slightly different, I don’t want you expect the same timeline.  That said, natural healing can take as little as 6 months, or as long as a few years.  It’s up to you and your body.
  1. How did I do it? Obviously, I cannot explain it all in this short note, but I have a small e-book on my website,, that tells all.  It is entitled “Change Your Mind … Change Your Body,” and downloads for $4.99.  I encourage you to read it to see how you can help yourself.
  1. Must I eat all raw? Not necessary, because some healing can occur with a cooked vegetarian diet.  However, because eating raw and juicing is best for us, I stress it to greatly speed up the time needed to get well.
  1. Can you help me? Yes, but I can only show you how to get healthy naturally. Once your body gets healthy, it will heal itself.  Along this line, I offer individual telephone and Skype video consultations.  E-mail for details.
  1. Why did I receive this e-mail? There is only one reason why you are on this list.  You had to have signed up on my website.  Perhaps you forgot.  I do not solicit e-mail addresses otherwise.  If you no longer wish to receive this mail, please unsubscribe below.

Media Black-out Challenge

Can you do it?  Are you mentally strong enough to take a one-day Media Black-out challenge?

Why do we need to reduce our media intake?  Because too much media input brings on over stimulation.  This is not good, as over-stimulation causes us to stay in a constant “fight or flight” mode.  When we are in a state of “fight or flight,” a natural poison called adrenalin floods into our system.  This adrenalin makes us able to run faster in order to evade that man-eating dinosaur, or escape from that hungry Saber Tooth tiger.

However, since we are no longer being chased, we need not run anymore.  Nothing can harm us while we sit safely on our sofa, right?  Wrong!  Extreme physical activity is the only way we can eliminate this chemical from our bodies.  So, unless we spend many hours sweating (which most of us don’t do), we end up re-absorbing this poison back into our system.  With no other way to get rid of it, is there any wonder why we are getting so sick?

Here’s how to take the challenge:

  • Choose a day to do it (hopefully soon).
  • Start at sunrise.  Best to do it on a day off work when you do not have to wake up to an alarm clock.
  • For 24 hours: NO TV, NO radio, NO music in car, NO movies, NO computers, NO computer games … you get the idea.
  • Do not end before sunrise the next morning.

Besides keeping us from getting sick, some other benefits of reducing our media intake are:  a clearing of the clutter in our brains; a lower heart rate; being able to eventually hear your own inner voice; and being better able to think for yourself.

If a 24 hour media black-out is too difficult for you, then you may be addicted to over stimulation.  Please let me know if you were successful at this challenge, and how it made you feel.

Thank you,

I’m Still Pushing …
The weather’s gotten warmer where I live.  Wherever you are, do your health a real favor, keep well hydrated.
How to:
  1. Get a container that holds a half or a full gallon of liquids.
  1. Fill it every morning with the purest water you can find.
  1. Drink it empty before going to bed every night.  Force yourself to drink most of it in the morning. (Don’t drink more than a full gallon per day).

Have you heard of Life Force Energy? It’s the relentless energy that makes and keeps life growing. Without it, we die. It’s the same energy that makes a single weed grow up through a small crack in the cement. It’s the force that makes some of us survive against all odds. (Some might call it God incarnate)

One source of Life Force Energy is plants and other things that grow from the earth, especially plants that grow wild.

So, next time you see a dandelion growing in your yard, don’t curse it and pull out the lawnmower. Instead, pick the whole stem and flower and eat it raw in a salad. Dig up the root, cut it up, and soak it overnight in water. Use this to make tea for a strong body tonic full of Life Force Energy.

Food for thought …

Do you realize that most of the food we eat today is no longer real food?  Most of it has been altered and loaded with so many chemicals and other additives, that the nutrients have been processed away.  Even regular produce we buy in the stores are grown using things we don’t need inside of us.
Processed foods can’t nourish the cells of our bodies.  Foods that can’t be processed by our bodies is stored in fat cells, causing us to become overnight and get diseases.   This is a major reason why diseases like cancer, diabetes, autism, and many others are on the increase.  Regardless of how much we think we have evolved, our bodies can still only handle foods that grow from the ground and the trees.
Our grocery stores are filled with these processed items.  Processed foods are basically everything except organic produce.  Processed foods are usually all the things that come in boxes, cans plastic wrappers and other man-made containers.  Processed foods are usually microwave-able, “fast foods”, “junk foods”, and are what is served in most restaurants.
It’s unfortunate that we’re asked to pay so much money for simple, unchanged food, while it seems the altered stuff that is bad for us is so cheap.  I think it should be the other way around, what do you think?

Are you ready to take one small baby-step that will improve your overall health?  OK, let’s do it together!

Why water?  Because drinking water is BIG!  Water improves digestion, absorption, circulation, weight control, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.  These things keep us from getting sick, and help us get well after we already are; regardless of the illness.

Drinking water helps maintain the balance of body fluids.  We are composed of a majority of water.  When we are born, we are made of 85% water.  As we age, we lose water through urinating, sweating and even breathing.  If we don’t replace this water, we get wrinkles, dry up, become stiff, and attract a host of health problems.  We end our lives closer to a 55% water level.  Would you rather have your skin be as soft and smooth as a baby’s bottom, or as rough and wrinkly as grandpas’ chin?

Here’s how to take my challenge:

1)  Select a  container.  It’s up to you whether its glass, plastic or other, just make it hold a half gallon of water.

2)  Every morning fill up your container with water.  Choose whatever kind of water that you think is purest.  (Its best not to use tap water for this challenge).

3)  Drink it for 21 days in a row.  Drink most of it in the morning before breakfast, so that you don’t forget, or have to run to the bathroom all night.  Take your container to work with you if you need to.  Drink it all before going to bed every night.  Mark the days off on a calendar as you progress.   (If you skip 2 days in a row, or fail to drink it all, then you must start all over at day one, so be consistent).

Call a friend or family member and challenge them to do this with you.  Pass my challenge on to your list of pals.   Add your thoughts here under “comments.”  Let me know if you accept my challenge, ask questions, or tell me how you are doing.  I DARE YOU!

(I raise my glass of water in a toast to you! )

This is a famous saying in the natural healing circles, but it is oh, so true!

Regardless of whether you want to rid yourself of an illness, shed a few pounds, or simply feel better, here’s how.  Find a form of movement that you can reasonably do every day.  One way to start to move more is simply take a short walk.  How about lying down and doing ten leg lifts each day?  Simply move enough to make yourself feel slightly tired.

Even if you can only do it for five minutes daily to start, it is priceless!

(Your Bowels … That Is)

Regardless of whether you want to rid yourself of a major illness, lose weight, or simply get healthy, one of the things you MUST do is to get the poop out!

Old, undigested fecal matter rots and stays inside you for years. In time, it can become as hard as shoe leather, thus making you fat, sick and diseased.

“By any natural means necessary,” is my motto.

Whether you suffer from Multiple Sclerosis (like I did), or some other debilitating condition, controlling your symptoms naturally takes time and effort.  Realize that you are in a fight for your life, and you must act accordingly.
First, however, you must simply get healthy.  Getting healthy allows your body to lose weight and fix major problems on it’s own.  But, do you honestly know how to get healthy?
I’ll show you, using natural, easy, non-conflicting methods.  We’ll talk through video consultations.   The cost is $1 per minute, and each call lasts 20 to 45 minutes.  You set your own pace, you set your own schedule, and you decide how often you wish to call.
Contact me for more info.

If you are serious about getting healthy, here is one more way to do it. Get yourself outdoors every day and breathe deeply. Not only do you need to breathe in fresh air, but your skin needs to be surrounded by oxygen in order to heal and be healthy.

Plan to get outdoors for at least one hour every day. You can incorporate it with other activities like walking, gardening or mowing the lawn.   Even if you only sit on the porch and read a book, you are greatly improving your health. Make it a daily habit.

Best of health to you!

Did you know that your body heals itself … but only while you sleep?

Regardless of whether you want to rid yourself of the terrible symptoms of diabetes, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, depression, mental illness, or any other major disease, one of the things you need to do is to GET MORE SLEEP.  Get in bed at dusk and don’t get up until dawn.  This helps even if you cannot sleep the entire time.

True or False?

If you think that basking in the sun alone causes skin cancer, think again! I’m sure some folks along the way had a very good reason to sell us on this myth. However, it’s not the sun that causes skin cancer, it’s the combination of the sun’s healing rays beaming down on skin that has been contaminated by eating dead flesh and meat by-products that have rotted inside of us.

So, if you are a vegan, this statement is FALSE for you.  Feel free to bask away!  Enjoy all of the sun’s healing vitamin D rays.

However, if you consume meat products beware! This statement may indeed be TRUE for you. Pack on the sunscreen, cover your body with hats and clothing, and don’t stray far away from the beach umbrella!   If you think you are getting, or already have, skin cancer stop eating meats.  I trust your doctor thinks enough about natural healing to agree.

But it’s no longer the question if you intend to rid yourself of the symptoms of an illness. In order to get better, you must stop consuming meat and all meat by-products.

There are only a few extenuating circumstances; for example if your blood type is O, then you may actually feel better after you eat a small amount of fish. (But only fish that is grown and caught wild, never farm-raised, and feed antibiotics). There are a few other examples, but they still require that you limit your intake of meat and by-products.

The biggest objection to this is the fear that we won’t get enough protein in our diet. Truth be told, the average person gets too much protein in their diet. Plus, it’s the wrong kind of protein for us to use. Animal protein causes uric acid to amass in our bodies.  (In case you don’t know, this is not a good thing).

The right kind of protein for our bodies is found in vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains. It is said that a serving of greens contains more protein and calcium than a single glass of milk.

Food for thought …

One of the longest-living animals you will find in the zoo is the slow-moving tortoise. He walks slowly, he moves slowly, he eats slowly. He does everything extremely slowly. I believe this slowness lends greatly to his longevity.

Slowing ourselves down is a good way for us to regain our health, and meditation is an excellent way to do this. Slow relaxation helps lower blood pressure, and puts us in contact with the smartest part of our brain.

There are many ways to meditate, and here’s one simple way for you to start. Do this at least one time each day:

STEP 1:   Sit in a comfortable position with eyes closed

STEP 2:     Breathe in deeply to a count of 10

STEP 3:     Hold it in for a count of ten

STEP 4:     Exhale to the count of 10

STEP 5:     Repeat 25 times

As infants, we were provided with nourishing food from our mother’s breast that made us grow strong and healthy, and it protected us from illness.  However, we were only as strong as the nutrients Mom’s body could provide.

Mothers (like all other life on this planet) get their strength and nutrition from Mother Earth. Mother Earth was once rich and plush and provided all the food, vitamins and mineral protection our bodies needed through plant life.

But now, due in part to the extraction of oil and minerals from her veins, Mother Earth is loosing her blood. Her veins are collapsing, leaving her body brittle and weak. She can no longer provide her children with what we need to stay strong, healthy, and protected from illness. The minerals that her soil once generously offered are quickly diminishing.

As a result, supplements are needed more than ever before. I benefit from taking a natural trace mineral compound. If your health is changing, you may wish to look into taking something similar.

‘Here’s to your good health!

What if there was an exercise that you do for only ten minutes a day, that gave you more energy, reversed illness, made you lose weight, caused you to look and feel better, and that reversed the aging process? Would you do it?

I’m 60 years young, and don’t have one wrinkle on my face.   Oh, I used to, along with crows-feet, and bags under my eyes. Who knows what the future holds, but for now I’m proud to state my age. I lived in a foreign country and discovered this exercise 20 years ago. I also drink a lot of water, which definitely helps with anti-aging. This age-reversing exercise used to be a secret, but now, you can see demonstrations of it all over the Internet. Google it for yourself!

Rite #1  Stand up, stretch your arms apart, and spin to the right, any speed. You can even hold on in a doorway and rotate very slowly if you must. To avoid dizziness, focus eyes on one object in room like ice skaters do when spinning.

Rite #2  Lay down face up on a mat and raise both legs up together to a 90 degree angle (or as high as you can), then lower them.

Rite #3  Get on your knees, body is straight up facing forward. With hands on back of thighs, bend backwards, then straighten up again.

Rite #4  Sit on the mat with your legs together in front of you. With your arms behind you like a crab, raise your buttocks up until you are straight. Hold this position for a count of 5, then lower yourself.

Rite #5  With face downward towards mat, raise yourself up with buttocks highest up making a V shape. This is like the downward dog position in yoga. Reverse V position to where stomach is now down and chest is raised with head facing up.

It seems like everyone does them a bit differently, and that’s OK, because the 5 Rites are very forgiving. You will still get excellent results so long as you do them daily. Breathe into them, and do them slowly, at your own pace. Do not worry if you can’t do any part of them yet, just do what you can, and your body will build up to it later. Do them in order. When in a rush, still do a few of each. Start by doing each rite for three times for the first week. Increase each rite by adding two more per week until you reach 21. Then, do 21 of each forever.

“PIG-OUT” For The Holidays

You heard me right! Enjoy your holiday feasts. You know you over-ate at Thanksgiving, but don’t sweat it. Christmas is coming, and so is New Years. Eat up! Just be sure to drink lots of water at least 10 minutes BEFORE, not during your meal. See, water dilutes the stomach acids needed to digest your food. We need those acids to be strong in order to get rid of all that stuff, especially if you take medications. (I must tell you to consult your doctor first, in case you need his permission to drink more water).

I have a proposition for you. Eat up now, then join me in January for my “Get Healthy – Lose Weight“ easy online class. My job will be to keep the price low for you.   Say … $5 per week? Your job is to “pig-out” over the holidays and prepare for fun new ways to lose weight after January 2nd … deal?

We can all do this together! I’ll give you more details on when and how to sign up soon. In the meantime, “eat up,” “live high-on the-hog,” “pig-out”!

It’s Winter, we’re indoors sitting around the fire, drinking hot chocolate, eating hot foods and moving our bodies less.  This takes a toll on us.
In order to combat this indoor inactivity, pick up a winter exercise program.  This is a great time to take a dance or a martial arts class.  Whether it’s joining a gym, participating in an indoor sport, doing yoga, or simply taking a brisk walk around the block … just keep moving.
“Here’s to your health!

What will you do with yourself in 2016?

Will this be just another year that you continue doing the same things as usual? Will you continue to feel bad, getting sicker and wider with each passing day?

Will you look back on 2016 as the year you lost weight, gained more energy and improved your health? To quote a friend, “Nothing changes, if nothing changes.”

Stay tuned to learn a few baby steps you can take daily to improve your health. Let’s make 2016 a year to remember!

Do you find yourself increasingly using wireless electronic devices such as microwave ovens, computers, cell phones, tablets, or other kinds of Wi-Fi?
Do your children prefer to stay indoors starring down at small screens while using the same repetitive finger motions for hours?
Have you been paying attention to the increasing amount of news reports of doctors seeing more cases of neck and back strain from slouching down over computers, and of finger deformities and other repetitive or radiation based problems?
Have you ever considered unplugging yourself from so much use of these devices until the verdict is decided?

Have you ever used a juice machine?  If so, then you know how they work. You put produce (apples, beets, carrots, etc.) in at the top of the machine.  The body of the machine grinds and smashes it into small pieces.  The pulp comes out of one end, at the back, and the liquid juice comes out the front end.

Sounds like our bodies doesn’t it?  We eat food by putting it into our mouths located near the top.  The food gets processed in our stomach, which is located at the middle of our bodies.  Then, we poop out the fiber from the back, and the liquids come out of us through the front.

It‘s only the liquid juice that feeds the cells of our bodies, not the pulp.  One good way to feed our cells is to make and drink fresh-squeezed juices.  The nutrition nourishes us quickly and directly without further wear and tear on our already over-worked digestive systems.

Natural doctors tell us that when you are sick, don’t make the body work harder.  Rest and drink fresh juice only until you feel better.  Best to buy a juicer and make it fresh at home, or get fresh-squeezed.  Never buy juice from stores where it has sat around for days and lost its natural healing power.

  1. I accepted this challenge! I found that I was not only voiding my bladder but also my bowels! This is exciting because I really need to lose weight.

  2. How many glasses of water is 1/2 gallon? I started to guzzle water before my colonoscopy and was surprised my aching knees got better, and I slept better, even if I got up to pee.

    • Great question, Sandy. Depending on the size glass, 1/2 gallon could range between 6 large glasses to 10 or even 12 small glasses. It’s best to fill a half gallon container and pour it from there. This way, you are sure to get the correct amount.

  3. Rosemary, I have also accepted your challenge as of last week. I found that when I was away from home it became more difficult as to the challenge of finding restrooms, etc. so there were a couple of days when I did less than 1/2 gallon. However…I didn’t let that stop me from because I am just beginning to see some good results. My advise to all of us is this: If we fall off the plan, get back on asap, don’t worry about it and we will do better the next day. I know that drinking this much water will be great for everyone!
I just put it in a 1/2 gallon container and drink as early in the day as possible so I won’t be making a mad dash at night. Happy H2O to all.

  4. Peace Rosemary!
I accept your challenge but wanted to know if I can up the amount of water to 1 full gallon. I recently purchased a gallon jug specifically for water but I’ve been off and on. God willing, this challenge will inspire me to keep it up! Thank you and congratulations on your renewed health!!

    • Adrienne,

Yes, by all means you can increase your water intake to a gallon. However, I would not go over one gallon per day.

      Best of health to you!

  5. Hi Rosemary, I accept your challenge. I am a lover of water since 14 glasses of water a day for two weeks healed me of a severe sinus problem, and I read YOUR BODY’S MANY CRIES FOR WATER by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D. I usually try to get in a gallon a day, but have been slacking. I start today to get back on track. Thank you!

  6. Rosemary,
thank you, for offering this challenge, i am happy to say that since i purchased your ebook, i am drinking more water, i took advantage of the tip to keep the water in my favorite spots that you gave. thanks so much, you are very inspiring. here’s to drinking more water! i raise my glass to toast you for all of your wonderful work, please keep it up…

  7. Hi Rosemary
I accept your challenge – I know it will do me so much good to focus and drinking half a gallon of water a day, rather than depending on other drinks to get enough fluid.

Thank you so much for issuing the challenge.

    best wishes

  8. Hi Rosemary,
i have been drinking my water, although i have to admit not so much this past weekend, as i did not have the access to the restroom that i needed in order to drink so much, but i am going to start over again today and will try and do better next weekend, maybe i will start drinking earlier so to get most of it out before i leave my house, but at any rate i am drinking much more water…and i notice that it is working on my bowels as well… and that is great!

  9. Thank you for posting this challenge. I wanted to try something to help my skin and my Eczema. Thanks again. I can’t wait for the results.

  10. I accept your challenge and I will begin today. I just want to say you are my hero. You are such an inspiration. May God continue to bless you.

  11. You have inspired me but I have a question, do I just gargle down the water or take sips? I heard of I drink the water day I lose nutrients from my body. Thank you so much

    • Drink the water down heartily. I understand that drinking distilled water over a long period of time can strip minerals from the body, but am told that other types of water is fine. Distilled water is great for getting rid of arthritis and for weight loss, just take trace minerals with it, and don’t drink it for more than a few years at a time.

  12. Hi Rosemary,
I started drinking about half a gallon of water (+- 2 Liters) a few days ago + a few cups of herbal tea (nettle) a day and some kombucha. I have inflammatory bowel disease. I got the impression there is a little improvement already, but I know I still have to go a long way, but I’m determined to walk the talk. I’m drinking filtered tapwater. I’m from Belgium/Europe, and there is no fluoride and little chloride in our water. It’s a charcoal filter (Brita) and it filters out lead, copper, chalk and chloride. After filtering it tastes very good, so it’s good to do a watercure with it. I bought your ebooks and saw your videos as well, they are very inspiring, Thank you very much. I’m also going to switch to the kind of diet you promote and let remove my mercury dental fillings and do some detoxing. I hope I finally after so many years can get rid of this misery and be able to function more or less normally. So thanks again for the information and the encouragement. Keep well, Kurt

  13. Hello Rosemary,
Thankyou so much for sharing your story and recipes. You are a great inspiration.
I wonder if you could provide some further infomation about the Metabolic Support Factors product in your store. What is it and how does it work?

Blessings to you and your dream,

  14. Dear Rosemary your story is so inspiring I just had to share it with friends and family. Thank you for confirming the fact that food and disease are interlinked. However, fish is not a good idea to encourage people to eat I would think with the high toxins in the water and mercury poisoning reports going around, even in our oceans here in South Africa. A friend has mercury poisoning because of eating fish. I believe we don’t need ANY animal products to sustain us, all we need is plants, seeds, nuts & legumes.. Thank you for the water drinking encouragement – it all makes 100% sense. Love what you do and stand for.
    Elsje Massyn of South Africa

    • Greetings Elsie. Thank you for your kind words. I agree with you that we have poisoned our waters and the fish that live therein. Nowhere in my statements will you ever hear me tell anyone to throw away their own good common sense and listen to me. This site is called You Heal You for a reason. I encourage everyone to help themselves, using your own best judgement. While many things are good for all, some things will need to be excluded by others. Thanks again for your insight.

  15. Dear Rosemary, your story is almost unbelievable! Thank you for sharing it and for giving so good, free and ‘free letting’ ( uh, can you say and understand this in English?) advice! I never considered myself in danger to plug in too much, I’m a reader… But now, since several years, I have an I pad and an I phone…such a lot of wonderful YouTube Videos are waiting…after watching them, I say yes and have almost the feeling, I’ve done all the yoga, water drinking, walking and vegan eating, BUT … I’ve only watched other people doing the right things. You’re mail came at the right time and inspired me to DO more than to WATCH. THANK YOU AND ALL THE BEST FOR YOU! Monika from Germany

  16. Thank you. The year before I was about 75-80% raw. Currently a vegan for 3-4 years. I’m wanting to go back the raw direction and thought I would give this book a shot. I really felt good but oh how easy it is to fall off the wagon. Heck they have processed food for every lifestyle. It’s tough with almost everyone cooking around you. I think I’ll go gradual this time to get rid of a few items and start stocking the kitchen with more raw foods. May this will encourage me to post more regularly on my blog. I’ll try to update in a week.

    • Greetings Abdullah,

Good luck to you! Don’t beat yourself up if you stray for a meal or two. Just get back to raw as soon as possible afterwards. It is important to get back soon.
      Peace and blessings,
