If You Rest … You Rust!

This is a famous old saying that was tossed around the natural healing community when I was learning.  It means that our bodies were designed to move, and just like an old lawnmower that’s been left out in the rain over the years, our bodies will rust if they are not moving.

Inactivity breeds disease and illness, which can be reversed through movement. You don’t necessarily need to join a gym, nor purchase expensive workout equipment.  Just keep your body moving, doing whatever it is that you like to do. Walking is an excellent activity!  So is golfing, biking, gardening and any other active movement you enjoy.   P

lease do some type of physical body movement every day, even if it’s just putting on a fast record and doing a 15 minute “booty shake.”  The older you get, the more you need to find some small type of movement that suits you. You will thank me for this if you do.
